Haircut lengths

Take the guesswork out of it. Pick the length you like from the six below and tell us the name when you book — no grooming vocabulary required.

Short 1

Short and sharp

For doggy parents worried about matting. If your dog mats easily, or is already matted, we recommend keeping the coat short and sharp.

Short 2

Short and mild

A short cut that suits most breeds through spring and summer. You can have the legs left fluffy or taken short to match the coat. If your fur baby loves water and mud, we'd keep the legs short to avoid matting.

Medium 1

Mid range blend

A mid-length cut, best suited to soft-coated breeds. This length needs regular brushing and maintenance at home.

Medium 2

Mid range fluff

A mid-length coat with volume, which gives your dog its fluff. It needs regular brushing to stay matt-free, and suits soft-coated, fluffy breeds best.

A dog groomed to a Long 1 length — a full long coat, trimmed and thinned

Long 1

Long and fluffy

A full-length coat with some bulk taken out by brushing or de-shedding. Mostly for bigger dogs or long-coated breeds — a Long 1 is only trimmed or thinned as required.

Long 2

Long and royal

A full-length coat with all its volume and fluffiness. Mostly for bigger dogs and the fluff-ball models — a Long 2 is managed by de-shedding and scissoring alone.
